A Spyro Ideal!

I know for many (if not all) Spyro fans, the subject of the Legend of Spyro movie is an extremely sore one. Though I wish they had released it, what I want to know is what would you think about a cartoon series.
Do you think a series be better than a movie or not and why?

In my opinion it has its good and bad sides. There could be a lot of potential in a cartoon series.
The game has already started a great story which could be built on with the cartoon filling in the details, yet I would be fearful of it going way off the story line.

I think a series would have been better. It can help with story, plot, and character development.

Kind of like Avitar the Last Air bender series. A Spyro cartoon would of been cool!
